A travers terre / Overland
There I go...I whisper the names of the places to cross, unknown landscapes where to find burning gazes and promising meetings... Rouen, Paris, Munich, Budapest, Varna on the banks of the Black Sea, Poti on the other side, Georgia, Azerbaijan, Caspian Sea from Baku to Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Bouxoro, Samarcand, Kyrgyzstan, the lake Issy Koul, Torurgart pass in the Celestials Mounts, then Kashgar in China, bypass to the south the desert of Tama Klan, and eventually use the train for Lhasa, cross over the last pass to Katmandu and go down to a known country, my adoptive land, India full South longing the Coromandel coast till my little village Auroville.
Eastern Azimuth from the starting point, the quiet Normandy of my childhood.
I still don’t know how to answer to this pragmatic question of our European society, but what for? They would hear some humanitarian involvement or ecological implication or historical Route to follow, but to be honest nothing of that sort guides me. The truth is closer to the golden sparkles found in the eyes of this young Canadian guy on the starting blocks also. My experience can only be my truth. So I go! It’s simple, obvious and source of an infinite gratitude!
